quick release exhaust
i use some 2-1/2" corvette ram horn exhaust manifolds on my 1970 2wd blazer. i need to remove my exhaust manifolds often when im wrenching on my baby. the 3 stud connection under my manifolds is always super tough to line up. i like the 2 bolt ball and socket connection that ford uses on the h-pipe that they put on their 5.0 H.O. cars in the 90's. i cut my exhaust pipe a little bit behind my motor at a good location where i know i can reach the pipe easily. then i weld in the ford ball and socket connection. the h-pipes are easy to find in wrecking yards under t-birds that originally had the H.O. motor installed. then i am able the bolt and line up the 3 stud exhaust donuts on my manifolds on a bench where i can reach them easily. now i can drive my chevy without sounding like a retard with an exhaust leak.
