should water be here
I got the heads off my block today and when i was pulling the lower head bolts( the ones next to the spark plugs) there was water that started running out. Well i thought mabee that it was excess water in the ports till i got the whole head off and there was really water in the lower bolt holes. Is this normal or is the block cracked somewhere.

Yes, that is common. It is the water running out of the bottom side of the tapped holes. The head bolt threads are tapped into the water jackets, which is why you must put sealer on the threads of the head bolts when you put the heads back on. You can drain the block of all of the coolant by taking out 2 plugs on the bottom side of the block right about the oil pan on each side.
