Door Panel ?

I was wondering if i could take the door panels off of my 78 and put on door panels out of like an 85.

Go from this style
Name: 80 door panel.JPG

Size: 36.9 KB

To this style
Name: 85 door panel.jpg

I think i could because the door shell is the same. Just want to be sure before i get new ones.

Thanks

Re: Door Panel ?

So in that case is it going to be easy to take a 78 with a Scottsdale package and put an mid 80's silverado interior package in it?

Re: Door Panel ?

take it from someone who did it .. you need to change the door handles and if you get ones with the power accessories it looks kinda sloppy on the driver side

Re: Door Panel ?

Those aren't actually "pull" handles. You will find that out if you start using them as such and start popping the trim pieces off when you break them. It was a decorative item in my opinion. I would shut it with the armrest/handle...
