gear ratio calculator

Is there anyware I can find a calculator to find out what my final drive ratio is?ie if I have 3:08 and 18 inch rims my ratio is blah blah.

You want to know the gear ratio.
You will need to know the diameter of the tires, the type of tranny output ratio (OD will be approx. .70 a NON OD will be 1.0)

take the problem and do this calculation RPM X Tire Diameter (Divided by) MPH X Trans Output ration X 336 = Gear ratio.


Example: 2500 RPM X 29" tire = 72500 70 MPH X 1.0 X 336 = 23520 72500 divided by 23520 = 3.08 gear ratio
