HELP!! What Brake Booster for underdash set up?
Hey guys I am needin some help.. i went to the junkyard yesterday and saw that the Geo Metro boosters are reallly small. I am wondering if any of you have a better idea for my under dash set-up? I know its not big but it has to be better than it was from factory with none. Please if anyone has built their own kit let me know what all you used with it. I am aware o the kugel komponents kit. I am not much for the $500 price tag though. Will the master cylinder off of the geo work too or would I need to take a bigger one from a camaro or something? Thanks in advance....

Yea I posted in it... but noone really has a booster. with the booster the kit will need to be in there sideways and have a lever that pushes the rod side to side not front to back. I just dont know if the metro booster and master cylinder is big enough for the 65?

Do you think a booster designed to stop a 2000lb POS will stop a 4000lb truck? Look for realistic equivilent sized vehicles to pull a booster from. I think the Astro van may have had underdash booster.

check this piece out. I'm not sure of the size, but it looks pretty small and is about the right price

What about a remote booster? Here's an article on it. You can google remote brake booster and find them.

Re: HELP!! What Brake Booster for underdash set up?
I went to the junk yard today and got a Geo Metro booster and a S-10 master cylinder. going to try this out and see how everything works. I have seen it on a lot of s-10s so I figure it is better than what this truck had from stock.. Im going to give it a shot.. if not ill try something else
