Hi From NZ

Hi I’m Bob from New Zealand, I have a 77 Cheyenne fleet side short box that I imported to NZ in December 07. It’s from SO-CA and rust free and totally original down to the jack and wheel brace under the hood.

I have started to fix her up a bit and it is now in the paint shop for a full body repaint in the original burgundy colour.

I will post pics as soon as I figger out how to down size them and then upload them, I may need help on that, I'll let you know.

Thanks again for the welcome, do I keep posting here? or do I start a build thread in the
forums? I'm not doing a full rebuild just a repaint and tidy.

Re: Hi From NZ

Welcome from Ontario Canada. I had relatives in Auckland and some other relatives in Christchurch. They are all deceased now though. My parent's went down for new year's '79. If I remember correctly my great uncle whom lived in Auckland lived by Mt. Eden?

You should really start a buildup thread that way we can all admire your truck during its progression and finishing. Keep those pictures flowing.

Re: Hi From NZ

Thanks James, I also live in Auckland out west. Funny thing my old man came from Ottawa, jumped ship after the war in 1945 no relatives left there though.

I will start a thread tomorrow, still trying to work out the photo upload thing, just about got it.

That's funny, my grampa left Auckland to settle in South Africa, then was promised a better life in the UK, then flocked to Canada in the late 30's as I was told.
