Is this an ebay scam?

ok i need a remote for my key ring so i can open my doors with the clicker....i called this dealer and they have the one i need in stock for 140 bucks or something like that....on ebay they have it and they ship it to me with a grand total of $23.98....i already clicked buy it now and so all he is doing is waiting on my payment...should i go ahead and send off my money order or say screw it and not do it because 23.98 could be spent on gas in my '72 and i can be cruisin around havin fun

Re: Is this an ebay scam?

I've bought one on ebay also and it worked great. I did have to pay the dealer to program it though.

You have answered your on question...if you clicked the buy it now you have entered into a contract. This is where honesty and integrity kicks in. JMHO.

Re: Is this an ebay scam?

When you click "Buy it Now" you tell the seller, "ok, i want your product now, so i will pay for it NOW" So yeah, you are required to pay and he is required to ship it to you, and you will be in a big load of $#*^ if you don't

Re: Is this an ebay scam?

that all depends on what it is for if it is for a ford i know that all you do is turn the key in the ignition back and forth until the door locks spazz out on you and its done but no matter what you have your owner manual should tell you how to do it

Re: Is this an ebay scam?

I don't know about Fords but my new Chevy can only be done by a dealer It takes a special code That's what all the Key shops are griping about.

I agree. You MUST pay for it after clicking the buy it now. It is considered a contract once you do. If either of you voids the contract you will have a lot of trouble that you don't need or want. I say just pay him, and if he doesn't hold up his end, HE will be the one that has to deal with eBAy. ...Joe
