The eng and tranny are both Chevy...by the third gen F-body ('82 - '92 Camaro/firebird) they all got Chevy motors when it came to the small block. If you get eh wire harness and puter, it won't be too hard. You'll need to revamp the fuel system too.
In the 3rd gen F-bodys, the engines were;
2.5 4 cylinder...Pontiac
2.8 V-6....Chevy
3.1 (or was it a 3.4?) V-6...Chevy
3.8 V-6....Buick
3.8 TURBO V-6 (only in t/a one year) also buic
then the 305 and 350 which were both chevy motors.

FINALLY got the HORNIAC...a '70 one ton Longhorn with a Pontiac 350/350 and lots of 'personality'. Check out The Longhorn Webite.

My dad has that same motor (and 700r4) in his 84 blazer. It was a deisel truck before the swap. I hope you got the computer and all with it. His came from a totaled 89 gta with 50k miles. It cost $480. I wish I could find a deal like that!
