Late model wheels on my 69 c-10

My coworker bought some bling bling wheels for his late model chevy. Old wheels and tires have 2000 miles on them. He wants $300 for a set. I am sure that he will take $250. I took one wheel home to see if I will like it or not. Bolt pattern is fine but the hub is too big. Also, rear wheel will not clear. I can probablly get some wheel adapters but that will add $100 or so. What do you guys think should I pass or buy them? Thanks

I say pass, the wheels you have are probably better looking than those

Re: Late model wheels on my 69 c-10

if you have rims to put the tires on, then go for it.
Personally, even with spacers to 'fix' the hub hole and back spacing issue, I'd personally still think they look like crap on a classic.

Agree 100%, the tires are worth at least that, it is a good deal, just don't use the rims, sell them to a dealer or a body shop. When a car gets hit in the right spot, it bends the rim and it is shot, and if they buy them from you for, say $50 apiece, that is cheaper than getting them from a GM dealer for 100 or more, or they could use them to put on trucks about to get painted, and they wouldn't have to worry about overspray

i'd say pass if you're thinking about buying them to put on your truck. you can get four nice wheels for $65 each from Summit like these:

Yeah what he said....

Seriously, they look odd, I would pass. But it's your truck, what do YOU think?

They look better with a center cap and lugnut covers. If it was a bolt on deal I would keep them.
