Temporary Fuel Filler Suggestions

Finally mounted the rear conversion gas tank. Do not have immediate access to a welder or cutting torch. Any suggestions/ photos for temporary fillers through the wheel well? I attempted mocking up a radiator hose but the gas nozzles here in Cali keep shutting off as I try to fill the tank. Took me ten minutes to get 1.5 gallons in.

Thx

If you pull the end of the hose (the rubber part) all the way back towards you while you pump the gas, it won't keep shutting itself off. It's no different if your filling up a gas can.

You need to make sure you have a good vent on the tank. because the fillers are so flat going in the gas backs up in them. I added a 3/8 vent on the opposite side of the tank

Have the vent already just having issues getting the filler into the wheel well to fill the tank while keeping it elevated above tank level.

This thread got me thinking about the relocation i'm currently in progress on, should the filler have a baffel or a trap door? I never thought about taking a corner and having it slosh around and out the vent or up into the filler neck.
