gmc jimmy f/s or part out

ok,heres what ive got.i think its a 1970gmc jimmy 4x4.i do have title.
no engine, trans or transfercase or driveshafts.
body is trashed.interior is compete but bad.all seats do have brackets,r/f seat folds forward, has most of the seatbelts.top is cracked at front, but has hinges and latches for rear lid.has 6lug drum brake axles,10bolt front,w/lockouts.it rolled ok,thats about all i know about the axles.frame is in good shape.tow hooks, not sure if factory or not?
i ended up with it thru some tradin'
would like to get $400.00 obo for the whole thing,or ill start to part it out once the weather gets a little warmer here.
thanks

Re: gmc jimmy f/s or part out

i am in summitville,zip 46070
about an hour north and east of indy, pretty close to i69

all 4 tires will hold air and roll,i dont know how well or for how long,so a trailer would be best,or bring 2 known good rear tires and you could tow it on a tow-dolly.
let me know,thanks

Re: gmc jimmy f/s or part out

mkundo,no problem
im gonna try and hold out at least a 3 weeks or so to begin parting out.i really dont want the remains laying in the yard.i will let you all know.thanks

p.s. i would be willing to trade for any 2.5 ton military drivetrain parts,53" michelins,49" iroks,a really nice k5 hard top(single or double wall) or k5 soft top,a BIG winch, could pay $$ difference on large parts.

I'm sure I know the answer to this, but how rusty are the inner fenders, just in case you part it out?

What kind of transfer case does it have? Looking for the torsion mount for a T-221.

Re: gmc jimmy f/s or part out

ok,big update here, kind of feel embarrased.actually paid some attention to it last night.
first,its a 1970,which means drum brake front,NOT DISCS,my bad.

the inner fender wells are shot.
it has no transfer case or mounts remaioning.

changing asking price to $400.00..the frame is in very good shape.

hey jamie,i didnt have to move a single car,a buddy of mine bought like 7 or 8 of the 67-72's out of there in one swipe this winter, then i ended up getting that and another one from him a month ago.but yeah,i think i had to walk over a few roofs to see it before too!!!

If you decide to part, I would be interested in any hatch hardware including top to body. Also, I would be interested in the screw/plug that goes in the door by the vent windows. Does it have the metal upper radiator pipe? Thanks

Re: gmc jimmy f/s or part out

gas tank looks ......just ok,little rust but felt solid.
rear bumper brackets are there, bumper is a little bent,so dont know how straight the brackets are.
side marker lamps,2 are cracked,2 are ..ok
all the seats have all the brackets,l/f seat is rusted and broken at seat back hinge
dont think its got the engine crossmember or trans xmembers left
it didnt have the metal upper rad pipe, but ive got one in the garage ill dig up.

anyone know if those are factory tow hooks??

sounds like ill be parting this out ...lol

ill get started maybe late next week, sounds like gonna warm up outside, ive got some stuff to do on my k5 first, then ill get this apart if no one wants it all by then.
thanks
andy
