'70 trim and paint pictures

I am thinking about adding chrome trim to my '70 and was wondering about all the different combos that were available in '70 of the trim and the paint. If you have a '70 with original or like original paint and trims combos, I'd sure like to see them, to help me decide what to do. Here's a picture of it now. (especially longbeds).

Re: '70 trim and paint pictures

Here is my 69 L/B Torquoise/white. Lower trim isn't original. I installed that after a repaint more than 12 years ago.

Thanks Mike, here are some pics I just took. They are 15x10 Fenton Fan Jets (or Turbine's) to the best of my knowledge and need to be soda blasted. They are magnesium wheels so they're tough as hell to get clean. I saw some on ebay a while back.

(Sorry to jump off topic of the thread!)

Re: '70 trim and paint pictures

So it looks like you could get the trim with the bottom only, with the top only, and both together - right? Also, two tone and single color? How about the tailgate/taillight trim? Was that pretty much one- way, either all or nothing? Sorry for all the questions, but I haven't found a source that illustrates the different trim packages available that year.

Re: '70 trim and paint pictures

Check out the LMC website, it will tell you all the different combos. You can view the whole catalog online or get them to send you one. Then you cany buy all your trim from one of the venders on here-

Re: '70 trim and paint pictures

Your truck looks great!!!
One idea is to put trim on tailgate and around rear lights.
this would give you trim in front of truck and rear. And let the wheels do it for the sides. My truck 69 swb has trim all over but i wish it was like your truck..

on the tailgate.

On the side, lower trim came on CST.
Upper was optional.
Either could be had alone.
CST was the only way you got the woodgrain in the lower trim
CST was the only way you got the woodgrain panel on the tailgate.
The trim under the rear window only came on trucks with a roof painted another color from the body

Re: '70 trim and paint pictures

IMO '67 trim would break it up nicely. Not sure about how it fits, cant say I've ever seen it on a '70. Just a thought, since you'd have to put new holes in anyway.
