just getting started

i have a 1972 chevy long wheelbase pickup, and i am going to put a big block in it but i want to keep it a manual transmission. i have heard i can use a newer model 5 speed trans. i have seen all kinds of automatic setups but no sticks and also i am wondering if it is even possible. which i guess with a welder and a torch anything is possible but i don't want to get in that deep. thanks any info is welcome....

Re: just getting started

Good luck with the build! You might want to post your question about the tranny in the 67-72 Message Board which can be found here....

By the way...
