WTB - 71 quadrajet carb
I'm looking for a mostly complete quadrajet 4bbl from a 71 350 with the hot air choke components. Don't really care about the CEC/TSC solenoid or bracket. Thanks.

Re: WTB - 71 quadrajet carb
I may have what you are looking for, but is it specific to the 71? I have a rochester Q-jet with the divorced choke. Is there a number stamping I can check so you know whether it's right or not?

Re: WTB - 71 quadrajet carb
I have a freshly rebuilt Qjet from a 71 C20 350 auto trans. Carb has 92,000 original miles. Has been soaked, new kit, new float (adjusted properly) and new choke pull off and fuel filter. Throttle shafts are tight and also have the choke sping and cover. I have the jet and rod sizes written down somewhere here, but they are stock. I can get the carb number, jet and rod numbers and a pic if you are inteested. I would go $125 shipped. Let me know.

Re: WTB - 71 quadrajet carb
Rust Buster + Green Machine,
Thanks for the responses. I have a 72 carb that I just put a kit in but can't quite dial in and it seems to have some slop in the secondarys throttle shaft. I'm trying to decide if I should repair this one or get another. The truck is a 71 and I've noticed from pictures and parts lists that 71 (and pre) and 72 carbs have a different vacuum brake and maybe other choke linkage parts. Just thinking that if I get another carb, why not match the year. So, if i could bother you guys? Can you supply the carb numbers? Rust Buster - the carb number should start with "70" or "170" and should be stamped vertically on the driver's side secondary body section. Both of you - thanks for your time. Don |

Re: WTB - 71 quadrajet carb
Rio - thanks, but that's a later model and I want to go with a correct year carb.
Green Machine - thanks, that carb could work. I'm going to go through my carb one more time over the next couple of weeks. Don't hold it for me. I'll let you know either way after I take one more crack at mine. Don |

Re: WTB - 71 quadrajet carb
Green Machine - Thanks for the response, your time and offer. I think that I've got my carb squared away and won't be needing a replacement after all. PM sent, as well.
