Re: plug wire & header issue HELP

I stopped at the local part store and picked up a wire loop kit that is held on by the valve cover bolts. Some of the other guys would probably recommend better options but, thats what I did just last week..for the time being.

I agree.
I got 'em & just love the heck out of them.
Bit pricey, though.
But the extra cost is worth more than buying new plug wires after you burn one up.

I also run the "bolt to the rocker cover" looms.
Sorry no pics. I don't have one o' them fancy digital cams, or a cam in my cell phone.

And I was pretty much taught, back in the old days, of "Iron men and wooden ships", "put in what the manufacturer did."

Re: plug wire & header issue HELP

Are you using a 90 degree boot? I have had problems with straight boots, but not so much with 90 degree boots. I just run my through the "loom" that bolts on with the valve cover bolt and no problems.

Just use different boots where you need them. I used 45 degrees in some places, and 90's in others.

A set of DEI plug boot protectors are cheap... I had a few left that you can have if you like. These: http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?fo...action=product

Re: plug wire & header issue HELP

This is what I use. You can buy them in packs of 2 on Ebay. They worked for me.
