please help with info on 67.
I need some info on a 67 seat. I was looking for a seat upholstery for a 67 c20 about 3 years ago and one of my parts dealer told me that PUI would be interested in reproducing it. So I took mine off and shipped it to them and they duplicated it. 4 months later I received the first one they made( which I had to pay for)and I tried to put it on and it didn't fit, it was too short. I sent it back and received it again and the same thing.I was wondering if anybody bought one of these, and are they having good luck with them. If anyone with an original 67 or 68 seat could take a measurement between the two little round mouldings I would appreciate it . A picture would even be more helpful. the measurement should be close to 59 inches but what they sent me was only 56.
Thanks in advance !!! |

I went out and measured my factory original seat which has no rips or bad spots in it and it measures 58" bead to bead also (actually 58 1/4"). No way a 56" cover is going to fit it.... Send it back and request a refund or a 58" cover. LockDoc

Thanks for your trouble. The pic of the cover above was taken in the winter on a cold day so I couldn't stretch it out too much by myself . I shipped it to my supplier and he layed it out on his desk and said he could get 57 inches out of it. Another problem is that the back frame is 59 inches and the covers are sewed around the top like a pocket so they have to slide over the top.

I also forgot to mention that the back of the seat tips forward. I dont know if all 67 were like that or not.
