Has anyone tried this with a 1st gen? How difficult is it to install the snaps in the windshield frame? |

I bet one of those would work, may not be a perfect fit, but if it works on a 2nd gen, I bet it could be made to work in the 1st gen.
The snaps require a small hole drilled, then the snaps attach with a small screw. Here is a link to a for sale thread I have for bikini tops designed for our year K5's, in case you haven't seen that thread before.

The guy still has the patterns and would like to make more, as there have been only a couple ordered so far.
I hope to get my top popped pretty soon so I can try mine out and get some pics of it posted.
