mirror help
Guys excuse me if it already on here somewhere but I need a little help finding out what kind of stock mirriors were on my truck. It a 71 chevy fleetside 350 with a/c Im not sure what info you need if you look at my pictures you see one hole right below the vent window and two just below the upper trim. Im thinking it had the huge mirriors on it any opinions or knowledge would be greatly appreciated or if those lower holes do not goto mirriors what they are used for. and where to pick up a set?

hard to tell but it sounds like you had the tripod mount mirrors. More than likely you will be drilling new holes to mount new mirrors unless you find the ones that came off the truck. If you find a set that matches up your pretty lucky.

It might have been mirrors similar to the ones that are on my truck. They have a tripod type mount and are real good for towing.
I like them real well on a work truck like mine, but smaller mirrors look better on a cruiser or show truck. Danny |

thats what i thought thanks guys any ideas were I can get a set I am trying to make my truck as stock as I can except for color. and I really dont want to drill holes in the exterior unless I really have to

Those car mirrors (that`s what I call them) sure look good and clean on a truck.But those below eye mounts look a heck of alot better than rear end damage from backing into things you can`t see.Or,even worse,a wrecked truck.
I think they`ll look fine on your truck,it`s not a bad choice. About posting pictures....you`re almost there,man!!what I usually do is start my internet twice,one with this website and one with Photobucket.Find your picture in Photobucket and click on the lowest line below it(IMG),right click,you`ll have the "copy" option...click it.Now bring up the truck site where you want the picture,right click and you`ll get the "paste" option,click that and it`s there! God,I hope I told you right.Someone told me,so anyone can do it.
