Cardboard Fab Work
Tonight I wanted to get some stuff done, but was restricted by not wanting to make much noise. So, i mocked up a console to hold a couple 20oz'ers, my switch box and my gauges.
here's the money shot. you can see more over in my build thread. |

That looks like it should work.... I don't know if you could find a smaller switch panel or not. I know you are planning on running more things off of it but that thing is huge.... Give me a call on the bed either way. If you aren't interested I have another guy that wants to look at it. The owner indicated he was going to put it on craigslist the first of the week. I wouldn't bet on it though, he doesn't look too ambitious. Leon

Re: Cardboard Fab Work
you bring up a good point about the switch box. there's really no reason i can't disassemble the switch box and mount all of the switches directly to the console.
now you've got me thinkin' |

Looks nice! Those two screws just under the dash there constantly scream at me about a console, cup holder, or gauge/switch panel of some sorts! Are you gonna 'glass it or maybe plastic lam? Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Re: Cardboard Fab Work
planning to make it out of MDF and cover it with the same cloth as my seat. I've got some ideas on how i can make it a two tone like the seat is.
and yeah, those two screw are the perfect width for the gauge mounting bracket i've had laying on my floor for the past year. |
