What did you get done this weekend?

Nothing fancy, but I installed a new set of Monroe shocks and stabilizer on the Custom. Next weekend I'll do the same to the Super. Let's see what you did.

Re: What did you get done this weekend?

cleaned the conections on my dimmer switch ,power washed the 69 and 71real good underneith since i jumped the gun this spring then started to strip a 67 short box for the frame for my rust free cab and clip to go on. my daughter cought me and said she wanted that truck, i told her if she would help my build it for her she could have it.she did not hesatate to jump right in. we pulled the front clip, engine and tranny and stripped the interior.she is very excited about it and it was the best day of my life having her there spending time togather. she has a good plan for the parts i have collected for my 67. but mine will wait if she stick with me on this one for her

I didn't do squat, but I did read quite a few of the build threads to get me psyched up...

I agree, I wish my Dad would jump in and help me with a project like that. But my step dad does I tore down the front end of my '68 and started cleaning and painting and installing new drop spindles and disc brakes

My Father said he wants to take hold of the reins on the Super's restoration right now and use the money he gets from the sale of his 52k mile original rust free '76 Bronco. I'm not holding my breath, as I'm still housing and buying parts for it's restoration. Not that I care, I'd rather him get back into the Chevys he's brought me up with, even though i still have a soft spot for those early Broncos. Here's a pic of what he's using for his DD.

Re: What did you get done this weekend?

My youngest son and I finished framing up a 24 ft wall in the room we are building for my wife to use as a sewing room.

My oldest son finished tacking all the new floor pan sections in his wife's 68 C-10 and then he fitted the doors. I stopped by his house this afternoon and checked it out.

While I was there we talked about our plans for our other 67-72 trucks, we have 3 to put together besides the one he is working on for his wife.

sorry guys off the subject......

67chip72,
nice little uncut Bronco. 302 or 6? Lariat package? Those 68-77 Broncos have really increased in price..... looks like a solid rig.

Don't want to promote the Ford here, but automatic w/302. Thing should be in a museum, it's so original. Top has never been off the dang thing.

I went over and took the carb off of the freebie truck I got and put it on the blue '67. It started right up and ran like a sewing machine.... I drove it around the yard a time or two just for kicks. Started sandblasting the inner panels and '67 core support I just purchased. I also took the floor mat and underlay out of the blue truck to see what it had for rust, it looks really good for Iowa.... Oiled hood hinges, latches, door hinges, etc.

Re: What did you get done this weekend?

We built an exhaust from the cat on my buddy's newer chevy truck. That was pretty fun hackin' off the 600 lb trash can (muffler), it turned out awesome and sounds great for cherry bombs and some muffler tube....

I was able to rip out the old seat and carpet, clean up the floorboard, and then reinstall the carpet and the new seat. I still have to bolt the seat in, but what a difference! Pics are in order from start to finish.

Good gosh o' mighty that looks good. I don't care what new and expensive leather custom interiors or new model seats, dashes, etc. people come up with, I never think they look good as fresh stock stuff. Great job!
