Finally !!!!
Finally was able to get my new tires and wheels installed. Got some new Coy's
18x8 on front w/ 235/55/18 and 20x8.5 w/275/55/20 on the rear. Still have to tweak on the ride height just a bit. Also changed out from the drop springs to new stock springs and McGahueys 2.5" drop spindles ( bought them from Tim Christian, great guy to deal with ). The guys at Coys went above and beyond to get the wheels out to me. What you guys think ?? Gonna install my new doors and internals next and a set of POL tubular motor mounts, trying to get it all done before CRUISIN SEASON starts !!!!! |

Re: Finally !!!!
Wow... that is beautiful!!! What kind of spring are you running in the rear? I definitely know which set of wheels I'm going with.

Re: Finally !!!!
4" drop spring with 1" lowering blocks. Blocks are coming out tonite so the fender well gap will match front & rear.

Re: Finally !!!!
I bought the doors from a guy in the next town up from me who sells parts and just met up with him on his weekly run to Goodmark so I didn't have to pay any shipping. The BS on the 20 x 8.5 is 4.75" and the 18x8 is 4.5"

Re: Finally !!!!
It would be nice to be able to get sheet metal parts locally. That would save a ton. $100 for shipping seems like a lot, but I suppose in the big scheme it's a drop in the bucket... lol.

Re: Finally !!!!
Really?? I think it looks good but it looks like its got alot of rake already... IMO it might be to high in the rear with another inch added to it... That is a BIG back tire! Wheels look great!

Re: Finally !!!!
spacers I had made solved the problem with the front wheels/cap. Worked like a charm, the alumn color blends into the color of the center spokes

Re: Finally !!!!
DA68,
It took me 2 weeks to get them, they had the fronts in stock and shipped them out the day after I ordered them ( it is a 5 day ship from Utah to Tenn via FedEx). The rears were in-transite to Coys and got stuck in California ( truck lines they used were on strike ) and Randy Coy drove from Utah to California picked up the shipment and drove back to Utah to ship them to me. Now thats Customer Service !!!! I will buy from them again. |

Re: Finally !!!!
Nice wheels man...I liked your other setup better, but thats jmo looks great though but I think lowering it a little more in the rear (less rake) would look better.
You have a sweet truck man! Great color. Brian
