camaro subframe

I just bought a 77 camaro subframe and rearend for a 55 big window project that i am going to start once i gather a few more parts. The subframe is missing the steering gear. I have located a used one and plan on rebuilding the rest of the clip. How many of you guys have used the old box in these clips? I dont want to go to the trouble of rebuilding the clip and find out the steering is not tight. Any suggestions? Who sells a good rebuild kit for these clips?

Re: camaro subframe

I used a remanufactured box for the same reason. You can purchase them for a number of venders. Classic Industries.
