H2 Wheels on a 77 3/4 ton
I just got a set of brand new H2 wheels and I want to put them on my 77 3/4 ton. Will be running a 6" lift and have 35 X 12.5 X 17's to mount up. I had read somewhere these will fit but I need special lug nuts???? Little help please...

Re: H2 Wheels on a 77 3/4 ton
I have h2 on my 87 daily driver.I got my lug nuys from a vendor at carisle. The lug nuts are the same style just for standard thread instead of metric on the h2.
In short yes you need the lug nuts for the wheels in standard thread.

I put em on my 01 chevy and just reused the stock lug nuts and center caps.

Re: H2 Wheels on a 77 3/4 ton
I know on my 72 c/20 I had to get 9/16th double thread nuts to use the caps - but haven't mounted them yet...
Got the lug nuts on ebay - for about $40 shipped. |

You'd be the 1st I've head of with that set up. It should look good. Are the H2's chrome
or grey?

Re: H2 Wheels on a 77 3/4 ton
Mounted some on my '97 (6" lift) using stock lug nuts which could be different than a '73?

Re: H2 Wheels on a 77 3/4 ton
Like others have said, you will have to use an orignal thread lug nuts (standard thread). As far as I know, you can use the lugs that came on your truck in 77, but they wouldn't have the outer thread to install a newer chevy center cap like some people have done. In the late 80s chevy started using Metric lugs. I look at the site below every now and then. I don't know who the guy is, but he has done some similar things to his truck.

I like the center caps...I guess I could cut the center out for the locking hubs.
