frm san antonio, new to the forum
Anyone on the forum from san antonio? I have a 69 chevy shortbed im getting ready to paint soon..If anyone from my town needs welding, i do welding with co2 for repair areas, patches, rockers, floors..etc

Thanks for the replies, i didnt realize there were so many 69-72 fans..Im curious as to why some of these 67-72 shortbed trucks have a 2 piece drive shaft and some have a single one..I have a 69 shortbed, automatic with a two piece shaft and my brother has a 72 with a single piece drive shaft. Mine is definately original but Ive also seen other shortbeds of the same years with a single..does anyone know?

Hello! Always good to have another San Antonian on the board. There are about 6 or 7 of us over in the Blazer forum. I wouldn't yell too loud about offering welding services...that is unless you want about 20 guys lined up everyday waiting to have their floor pans replaced.
You need to post up some pics of you 69.

Well i actually wouldnt mind the extra work..Im going to post up pics of the shortbed soon when im done shooting it..even after that i have plently of assembly to do but itd be easier on the eyes than the way it is at the moment . I wish it was a 4x4 shortwide bed,ive always wanted one but theyre so tuff to find. |

I know, I usually see 71-72 chevy trucks but hardly any early ones, not that theyre all that different besides the better front suspension on the later ones but ive upgraded all that on mine after an upper ball joint broke when driving it.
