Pics from the junkyard today

Hey I went to the junkyard today to look for a chrome rear bumper for my sons truck today. I didnt find the bumper but I did take some pics of some of our trucks just wasting away. I have never liked to see any trucks from our years go to waste. I wish I had the time money and space to save them all. Anyway here they are.

Man, I envy some of you folks. We don't have squat in the few yards we do have down here. Most things are stripped and rushed to the crusher.

Nope I didnt take any more pics of the blazer but that yard is close I can go back and take more, and after looking closer at the pic and asking my son yes that is the hatch on top of that blazer. There were also about 4 old burbs, about 5 or 6 chevy trucks from the 50s and about 25-30 trucks from 73-87
I only took a few pics cause my battery was dying. Not to make you guys without old yards jealous but we also have 3 other yards close by that me and my son will be going to to look for our rear bumper and of course we will be taking photos of some more cool trucks just wasting away.

Re: Pics from the junkyard today

That Blazer still has the buckets. It would be good to grab them if they are original. The rear seat is there too, if the front hold-down clamps are there grab those too.

Re: Pics from the junkyard today

I really need a set of driver's side brackets for a bucket seat. If any of the trucks, blazers, or burbs have them, I would buy them from you. Those pics kind of look like a graveyard for old Chevys. I'll buy the whole seats if they're good.

I didnt really look at the buckets to see what condition they were in. If they are worth buying they should fit well in my 1970 C-10 right? If yes I might buy them and just recover them with new vinyl.

Yup its fun to walk around and look at all the old stuff. There are a lot of old chevy iron trucks. There was one old panel wagon kind of like grave digger but in really sad shape.
There are soo many 73-87 trucks there. Im talking like 30. Too bad I dont need anything off those years.
Stay tuned, we have a few more junk yards just like this one in my area Im going to go to all of them in the next few days. I will take pics of trucks for all to see and of course if there is anything any members here want/need just let me know.
Glad to see you guys like the pics I love taking pics of our year trucks that are sitting around in junk yards, fields, in back yards, where ever I see em I stop and look at em.

Not a flatbed that is acctually an old c-30 tow truck. Someone just took the boom off. It still has some old faded service station lettering on the doors

If they are stock seats they will fit in your truck. The passengers side bracket is a little different, in that it flips forward, but it really won't matter once you get it in the truck.
The seats themselves are the same as the truck buckets, it's just the passenger side bracket that is different.

How's the windshield frame on the blazer? Its worth grabbing if you have a way to get it and its not rusted out.
