No opinions needed...I already know, lol

I know most everyone hates these old canopy's but Ive been looking for one for a long time. I love em =) Got this one dangling from the rafters at my father in laws place. I forgot he even had it. He doesnt use it anymore so he gave it to me for a good price. Its not quite as old, or quite the look I was after, but it will do just fine. Try to enjoy the pics

Re: No opinions needed...I already know, lol

I believe they were 8.25 width. Yep on the 16.5 33 x12.5s. The truck is pretty much stock.

I bought it from original owner. He ordered with the extra heavy duty springs and helper springs. No lift, but I would like to bring the front up a couple of inches to level the ride out.

And no I dont need any trout stickers...lmao...that was funny.

Super old guys????????????

I have cab lights for it, but I dont think Ill put any extras on the canopy...for now =)

I think it looks good. And when you are not in the mood, it's a small job to pop it off. I've been thinking the same thing for my '72. I have one similar that was made in my old stomping grounds by Homesteader. It's heavy though- 2x4 wood frame with "camper metal" on the outside, paneling on the inside.

Great looking wheels and caps but I need some of those caps if anyone knows of some to fit my 16.5 X 8.25 wheels. And does anyone know if they come just painted? Thanks! Don

I have a set of those hubcaps out in the garage for a 3/4T 2WD. Two of them are dented because the trailer wasn't wide enough. Oh, the truck looks good.

Re: No opinions needed...I already know, lol

I`d love to find one from this era.I`m always looking around.I followed a guy into a gas station in a later Ford (with a for sale sign) that had one about level with the top, straight up the sides, rolled in front, small overhang in rear, and door in place of tailgate. It was obviously late-60s/early70s.He was going to sell it to me,but someone bought the truck and wanted the cap/canopy/topper.
I`ve also seen a fiberglass one here or there in the style of our era that I`d like to have. It`s all about accessorizing!!They are easy on & off and you can rig something to hoist it if not.The ones the old boys always ran on these trucks saved the beds.

this proves, well to me anyways theirs a difference between looking good and being cool, and well that camper is just plain cool to me. that combo would look great pulling my truck to the lake/campground.

The vent windows on the sides are the key to the coolness of it. It is not my thing but if you like it, rock it.
