1st post! Welcome to the board, sir!
C=2wd M=V-6 gas 1=1/2 ton OD=wideside P=Pontiac, Mi. B=1968 the rest is production serial no. http://www.gmcpauls.com/67-72_gmc.htm Unfortunatedly, Paul's site only covers 67-69 yrs. 1970 and 71 formats are different. My 1970 CE134-1Z58128 1st- vehicle type (C=2wd, K=4wd) 2nd-engine type (S=I6, E=V8 etc.) 3rd-GVW range (1=1/2, 2=3/4 ton etc.) 4th & 5th-body type (04=step, 34=fleet) hyphen 6th- production plant (1=Oshawa) 7th- year (Z=1970, 1=1971) last 5- production ser. numbers then they adopted a different system for 1972-1978
