AC Controller Help
My truck originally had no ac. I'm putting in a vintage air unit and using the factory controls.
I do not have the proper holes in my dash to mount the unit. My question is; Where on this area ( marked by the blue line in picture below) do the holes need to be placed. I do not want the controller to be to far in the dash or to far forward. Pictures of the holes with AC controler would help. Thanks

Re: AC Controller Help
Here's a few pics. Mine measures from the edge where the arrow is in the first pic-from edge to center of first hole-9 3/4" and continuing to the center of the second hole
16 5/8". The holes are 1" on center from the edge of the sheet metal (edge closest to the firewall) Hope this helps.

Re: AC Controller Help
It looks like I have the same holes, but a different controller. Wasn't there another chevy vehicle that used the same controller. I wonder it that type had the same attaching bracket as mine.

Re: AC Controller Help
jugernot, there is a bracket that attaches to the a/c controller and then to the dash. Do you have that bracket? I can't tell for sure in the pic if it is there.

I found that bracket and was wondering what it was for. Do you have the vintage air system? If so I'm how you routed your cables, mine twist around all over the place.
