Found: SWB Bonanza Big 10

Not certain of the year, but I know they were only offered for a limited time. I haven't had time to investigate the truck, but I plan on locating the owner this week. I'll ask him if it's alright to snap a few pictures, and get pertinent info to share with you guys. It's definitely rough, but workable. How rare is a SWB Chevrolet Bonanza Big 10? Upon inspection, I want to make this guy an offer. It looks like it will stay where it sits unless someone buys it.

Pretty rare considering they didn't make a SWB Big 10. I'll let the experts here confirm that, but as far as I know GM didn't build it.

Re: Found: SWB Bonanza Big 10

No, I'm certain they offer a SWB Big 10. I've been lucky enough to see 3 in Austin, TX. Two of them are on the road as daily drivers. Besides, I'm not sure if a BIG 10 clone would be very valuble. Eh, who knows? I've seen stranger things. I've just never seen a SWB Bonanza Big 10. I'll get some pictures if I can.

Yes, my van is a '76 SWB. It's the best vehicle I have ever owned. A million and one uses, everyone gets a kick out of it, and it does great on gas.

The Heavy Half was also available in SWB. Only difference between Big 10 and Heavy Half is Chevrolet vs GMC .

The 1979 GMC Pickups Brochure has a picture of a short fenderside Heavy Half.

All Big Tens had a sticker on the rear of the bedside. Bonanza was a trim level, just like Custom Deluxe, etc. and separate from the Big Ten option.

The F44 heavy duty chassis was a factory order option; so you could it it on any trim level.

Re: Found: SWB Bonanza Big 10

If the RPO sticker is missing, check the vin on a 73-80 if it is a F44 truck, it should have a "4" in the 4th place, .
