Removing 3 inch body lift.

I am removing the 3 inch body lift from the GMC. I need to know the blot size and length of bolts I need to put it back to the frame. Also is there any kind of rubber that should go in between or is it just metal to metal?
Thanks again for being my go to guys!

(long part of the story) The previous owners didn't do it right so I'm trying to fix it and make this truck right. I guess they put on a suburban kit on the truck. So I have rubber pucks holding the bed up instead of blocks. It will still have the 4 inch suspension lift and will have to do something about tire rub but I put an end to the body roll.

The real question is would I have still bought it if I had known all this...

Re: Removing 3 inch body lift.

Looks like the Home depot buy the bolts yourself things is a bad idea. LMC has Complete Mounting Kits that seem like the smarter thing to do? Right???

Re: Removing 3 inch body lift.

Hello,Hope I can help.

Use grade 5 bolts. You can get those cheaper at a tractor supply if theres one close by. As for the size I cant remember but take one bolt out and measure it then subtract 3". The lift pucks are supposed to sit on top of the factory mount. If those are missing you'll have to purchase them at LMC or I've got them at the dealer pretty reasonable in the past. Don't forget to shorten your shifter linkage [if auto] You have to weld in a piece when installing the body lift.

Yes their is. You could also look into polly busings. Tractor supply is the way to go if there is one close as stated above. cheaper then HD. IF it was me i would play around with the hangers or just get a 6inch leaf springs to avoid cutting up the body but that is me. Also did your truck used to be two tone black with a white middle section and a white roof?

Hope this helped.
