Re: Pretty cool NOS find

That`s a great find!!!
Those are reproduced. What I want to see (and wish I could find...I`m jealous) are the cluster bezel and glovebox applique. There was one of the appliques on Ebay for $200.

Pretty cool NOS find

I am trying to do my restoration as correct as possible which can be very costly at times, but oh well.

Anyway, I found these NOS inserts and trim rings. They were originally shipped in April of 1982. I would not have bought them except for the fact that he had a NOS glove box appliqué and a NOS wood grain gauge cluster, so now the interior will be all GM wood grain stuff. I also forked over the cash for a complete set of NOS upper and lower moldings.

I know there are a lot of other NOS freaks out there so I thought I would share my find.

Re: Pretty cool NOS find

Ok, I'm confused. What does "NOS" stand for? I did a search for "NOS" but it did not yield any results.

Re: Pretty cool NOS find

Sorry, I don't have any more pics right now. The bezel is off getting the whole cluster and gauges put in so it will be awhile til I get it back. I should get the GB applique sometime this week and will pics of it and the finished door panels then.

Re: Pretty cool NOS find

Well, I still have not got the GB and cluster back, but I did get the door panel trim rings polished and put together. I am very happy with the way they turned out. The panels themselves are nearly perfect with no chalkyness or loss of texture.
