New Pic (progress?)

It isn't much progress, but some is better than none. I removed the bumperettes and put the 87 grill on. I ordered 10" rallies for the rear that I was hoping would come in on Friday. They didn't, so I didn't spray the bronze paint which is going on them, and the big horizontal bar on the grill, and the 87 headlight bezels. I think it already looks alot better though.

And these wheels are starting to grow on me.

I think I like the before pic better, the dark grill doesn't do anything for me, some sport mirrors would really finish it, Nice looking Blazer

No. I don't, but they are starting to grow on me. They do look better in my opinion with the simpler front end. They are in the parts forum.

Lookin' good! I like the Blazer on both spectrums... with the wheels/grill and with the new grill as well. Can't wait to see what it looks like with the new wheels.

Re: New Pic (progress?)

Nice blazer... you have to do this: I love that black grill but paint it silver like the original, install sport mirrors and I'd like a rallys on it

Re: New Pic (progress?)

hey progress is progress!

I think sport mirrors would be a good addition to your blazer but the paint looks real nice on it so i would leave the dumbos.

I think the rallies would add to the looks as well.

Very sharp looking blazer / for ever what an old farts opinion is worth , I like the firsr picture the best 7 THE WHEELS LOOK GOOD. Opinions are good , but do it the way you like / 12 people will give you 12 different opions/ gets confusing.
Good luck on your decisions.

Re: New Pic (progress?)

Thanks all,
I agree-I am a big fan of the sport mirrors-they always look better with them, but yeah I don't want to have to paint it for them. But I have a brand new set waiting to go on the truck, when I paint it.
Everyone keep in mind that the grill is not done yet, but my plans are to leave what is black--black. It's gonna look good with the big bar and headlight bezels colormatched, I promise.
87Bob, yeah that grill should fit I think. I have it listed(kind of) in my wheels for sale thread. I will probably start another thread for it this weekend. Pm me with an offer if you are interested.
P.S.--I am always negotiable with stuff like that.

Re: New Pic (progress?)

Oh, and I did get my 10" rallies in, and my wife is off Saturday so she can watch lil' Ms. In-to-stuff(my 11mo. daughter), and I can get something done. So I should have a real good update at the end of the weekend.

And Malo83,
no harm, no foul. But I do want to change your mind about the grill when I'm done. So when I update be sure and post your opinion--and be honest please.

Clean-looking Blazer.
Here's a couple of visuals with a bit of an altitude adjustment.

Re: New Pic (progress?)

Hey thanks. the irocs look alot better lowered, but my main problem with them is really the trackwidth of the Blazer. The rear is 3" narrower than the front. I got the rallies 1.5" deeper dish to compensate for that.

Are the trucks like that too? I thought I noticed that on my truck but it didn't look so bad. Maybe because the wheel base is longer?

Trucks are like that too. Drives me nuts, but not nuts enough to get spacers or anything.

The staggered rallys are going to look good, dude. Make sure you post pics when they're on.

Did they come from a Camaro? Did you use adapters to change the bolt pattern? The Camaro/Firebird from '82-'92 had different offset front/rear; they were marked front or rear. I remember in the early 90s several of my buddies had '82-'92 wheels on '70-'81 Camaros, and the fronts always stuck out too far, unless you switched the fronts and rears.

Re: New Pic (progress?)

I see. I understand the rear track is narrower than the front on these trucks? No wonder the stock wheels look skinnier than they should. I had truck rallies custom made to fit mine.
