Cup Holder console
I picked up a cup holder console at pic n pull that was not too bad of shape except the cup holder part was broken. I figured "no Problem" I will put a wtb on the board. 2 years later with no luck and everyone else beating me to the cheap consoles that come up on here I decided to just try and make something. With some trial and error I found the best fitting SS cup holders. I found a local guy with a plasma cam so I drew up the plate on auto cad for him so he cut me one out of some SS. I went ahead and color matched the console to my seats. Here are a couple of pics. after and before

Re: Cup Holder console
How much for something like that? I would buy if it wasn't to high.

Re: Cup Holder console
Thanks guys! As far as making them to sell I don't think it would be worth while unless I had my own plasma cam (too spendy for me). Any one who wants one could try as I did. I went to my local welding supply and asked them if any of there customers had a cnc plasma that did this sort of thing and they hooked me up with a hobbyist type guy who had a plasma cam in his garage, Then buy the cups.. http://www.americangamingsupply.com/...holder314.aspx The plasma cam guy charged me 25 bucks. I thought that was reasonable. The plate is very basic, the only thing is to get the holes where you like them.
That is the biggest cup that will fit in there. I also used finish washers instead of tapering the holes on account of that SS is just too tough on my chamfer bits Last edited by Olden Days; 06-11-2008 at 11:36 AM. |

Re: Cup Holder console
that looks great... wonder if you should try to patent it, or copyright it and offer this to a vender?

Re: Cup Holder console
I'm going to say no since I've looked and wasn't able to find any. I hope I'm wrong, so post away if you have a source.

Re: Cup Holder console
9 year old thread but someone is likely still interested in these. I bought something very similar from a member on here it was originally from PICKMUP on here. Not sure if he still does them?
