Re: Does anyone know about this???

I had one on my 48 Chevy with a Hagan door. They work fine as long as the tank is vented.

Re: Does anyone know about this???

The way the Hagan door is designed, you would have to have "sissy" hands to be able to get in there to remove the cap, .

It worked fine on the LT1 in the 48, but I'm not sure how touchy the sensors are in the newer cars.

Re: Does anyone know about this???

Hey fellas I tell ya I see these gimmicks in the parts store all the time. Those things look great but hooligans love 'em. Easy to fill up with whatever natural beverages we were gifted with conjuring up, or how about the sprayer at the car wash, or better yet to relieve yourself in. HA! I know right! Sorry I run a parts store just down the street from Bob 68327 and you should see some of the dingbats that'll buy anything the can put their mits on and then the next day they come in and say "That cap that you sold me(instead of the locking one I suggested) the other day, well...Dennis the Menace next door openned the fuel door this morning when he was pressure washing his driveway and gave me about 7 gallons of wet Mother Nature in my tank and now it won't start! You got anything that will get the moisture out of the tank without having to take the tank out from under the car?" All I can think is well "NO!" in the back of my head, and then he puts 12 bottles of HEET on my counter and says "This will take care of it, right?" as I nod my head and shrug my shoulders. Anyway, here I go with the Parts Counter Rants and Raves Vol. 1...Just my 2 cents....

Re: Does anyone know about this???

I was checking out the soon to be brother in law new Explorer and they don't have a cap. very similar to the flap on that cap but no screw on cap. I thought it was strange and He didn't even realize it I had to point it out to him. F*rd guy are a little slow around here.

Re: Does anyone know about this???

I wonder how long it will take for guys to figure out that they will be able to siphon gas from peoples tanks who have those. Good thing to come across when gas theft is on the rise!

Re: Does anyone know about this???

Nomatter what, this is a 67-72 truck message board.I definately wouldn`t want that thing hanging on the side of my truck when they`ve been putting pretty stainless steel ones that look like they belong there since they were originally designed.
With EFI,I can see one of those adding to the list of problems if it failed.

While I've never used one personally, I can see if you have issues with your hands/muscles using something like that for sure - very useful in that respect

My sister uses one. It's very handy even though she had "sissy" hands.Actually they are very "sissy".She has a thumb on one hand and a thumb and pinky on the other. She hasn't had any problems with engine codes or anything.
