Went to the Junk Yard Yesterday for Lunch

Well the Plant Manger for the plant I am working on says that if he comes in at 6:30 and leaves a little after five what's the big deal hitting some golfballs for an hour and a half during the day. Taking that advice I decided to check out a local junk yard. They are starting to take some of the older steel for recycling because its going for about 15 cents a pound out here but there are still severl trucks to be had. My camera got full but I would say in the area I was in there was about 3 heavy duty work trucks and 8 1/2-3/4 tonners. There was definatly a ton of sweet patina trucks there.

Well hopefully you can grab some of the good stuff before it get's crushed, like the few yards remaining around here are doing. It's sad, but inevitable I guess with scrap prices being high. Just last week I went to a scrap yard around here, and a '72 1/2 ton was gone-(crushed) that I had seen there only 2 weeks before.Dang, I knew that was going to happen, snooze you lose.

That C-60 looks like my '67 C-50 wrecker. I have always thought the C-50 and C-60 dually pickups were cool. I had someone give me a deposit on my wrecker, so I guess I'm going to sell it since I don't ever use it anymore.
