4th of July
The neighborhood did a little 4th of July parade. A couple of firetrucks, a slew a kids on bikes and scooters, my rig full of girls. It was like Girls Gone Wild, except they all kept their clothes on and they're all under 10
 . The only one I own is sitting in my lap. Hope everone has a happy and safe 4th. |

That sucks, not sure if you know, but they make little covers for them to cover up the part that is near the header.

i believe msd makes some high dollar melt proof ones, my brother has some on his truck with good results, also you can get that rope that goes around wood stove doors for the gasket material and tie it around your header where the wire touches, have done that with good results too

Tried the high dollar "no melt" plug wire set when I ran headers with poor results, best bet IMO is a good old fashoned heat shield. (1st pic)
Running high temp boots and sox on the 2.5" rams now but still have troubles with the middle touching, going to install a set of old school factory heat shields if the troubles persist. (2nd pic) |
