How do I get my truck or car in the movies?

Does anyone out there have any idea how to register a vehicle to be a prop in a movie. I've searched the web with no luck. I think it would be cool.
Thanks

Look for casting companies. That how we got our monster trucks hired on movies and tv. Ever see the Nash Bridges when the monster truck jumps the cuda? Thats me and yes I did hit the car.

Go on Stovebolt.com, they have a section on this where you can register your truck.

Re: How do I get my truck or car in the movies?

I have seen many a movie where a car/truck gets wiped out, or crashed.
Know full well that if your vehicle gets in it may be involved in some sort of wreck..
the new indiana jones movie is a good example.
I know that a guy from the h.a.m.b. had an old buick in there, and I know it got rolled(also I think the scene was cut), I just don't know if he knew it was to be wrecked or not.

Re: How do I get my truck or car in the movies?

....I leased a old car to the studio for "background" and in the fine print it said "not resposable for fire theft collision act's of god,and a laundry list of "other" mishaps and your insurance won't cover you you basicly leave it at the mercy of the studio they bend it too bad it's just not a good idea, and nobody ever checks out who you are when your leaving the studio so with the key in it at all times someone could take it home without question, and it's good bye truck car motercycle or whatever....not good.

I heard of horror stories also. The vehicles often get damaged and or altered. You need to write your own contract for them to sign and have proof of condition before loaned out.If they don't accept that, let them purchase there own vehicles.
