Re: Dropped 3/4 ton pics???
Tony I am on my wifes laptop, so I don't have any pics. Dig up some pics of Jason Hills short crewcab. He retained the 3/3 ton suspension so he could tow with it.
Sorry, but I couldnt find any on his site either.

Re: Dropped 3/4 ton pics???
lowriderbowtie- I was going to defend you and point out that the pic is dated 26th so it could have been the day after Christmas.
Jeff the 3/3 suspension was a rare shortbed crewcab option. Shesh, and you call yourself a 73-87 aficionado.

How did you do that on a 3/4? Cut springs in front and shackles in back? I like it and need to do that on one of mine (L6 truck - sits very high).

Re: Dropped 3/4 ton pics???
tony, i went to google, typed in hillshotrods thats all. a list of stuff came up, about 3rd article down the list was crewcab shortbeds, i clicked on it and found several different pic. of crewcab shortbeds including jason hills red one. incidently it(the crewcab site) is connected to this site, because thats how i found this great site. i have a 86 crewcab single wheel one ton, 3+3. i plan to make mine a short bed ( working on it now) like jason hills, keeping 8 lug wheels. hope this helps. art.

I cut a little more than 1.5 coils off the front springs, and it dropped it 4" for the rear, I removed all but 5 leaf springs. My truck had 11 per side. the tires in the pictures are 265/70/16's :S 30" tall!!! it looks alot beter now with the smaller tires. probly 2" lower in the front and 1" more in the rear from smaller tires |
