72 GMC Bellcrank Pivot Stud
Hi Hope someone can help me with this. I broke the pivot stud engine side on my bellcrank the other day and now I'm having trouble replacing it. I've found several but the all say its for a 4wd V8 I have a 2wd 250 I6. Is this part exchangeable. If not is there some way to rig it? Will the frame side work? Any help will be appreciated.

Re: 72 GMC Bellcrank Pivot Stud
Not sure about the interchangability but give me a day or two and pm me your address, I think I have one I'll send ya one for free (if you're in the US... where's Fitzgerald?) . I just have to make sure I still have it, it's good and the one you need.
Welcome to the board! (the $25 a year dues are WELL worth it for the TON of info and help on this site and you can post Want to Buy and Sell)

Re: 72 GMC Bellcrank Pivot Stud
The 6 cylinder ball pivot is on a bracket, as opposed to the v8 one which threads into the block, so yes the 6 cylinder one is different. If it is just the ball stud that broke, you could make the v8 ball stud work on the 6 cylinder bracket, just drill out the hole in the bracket and run a nut down on the threads of the other ball. If the other member has one, good for you and I second the $25 supporter fee being worth every dime! A free part just asking is why I like the board.
