Re: speaker hole??

Center dash speakers were and option I believe. If it had a radio but there isn't a grill in the dash, it probably had a speaker mounted below the dash just above the transmission hump.

Re: speaker hole??

Having owned my one blazers for 28yrs and several others along the way. I have always been a blazer freak I have seen hundreds of blazers I have never seen a blazers with a speaker in the dash. I know there are some on this board. Here is my personal theory on them. I bought a 69 RS/SS camaro that was highly documented this was back in 90/91 before about half the documentation knowledge was known as it is today. when I checked the camaro block# it didn't match one of the 3 codes listed. The code I had was for a Chevelle/ Nova I found the vin matching # on the block. I found in a book called Chevrolet By the Numbers. The data is about cars. But the author was given access to all never released Gm papers and he interviewed former line workers. The line workers said when we had a car coming down the line and we were out of a block or other part. We weren't going to stop the line and get the car out. We found a suitable part and put it in. In the GM papers the man found that 6 or 8 camaros like mine were know to have had that block. Personally I think those are pickup cowls and frames. As fast as these blazers were going in 71/72 Thats what I think
You had 2 cowl/Frame assembleys Truck and Blazer

Re: speaker hole??

Wes at www.classicheartbeat.com (he shows up here) sells some nice molded speaker housings for the kick panels. I don't think he shows them in the catalog but I have seen them in his store. They are very clean looking and you can paint them to match the interior.
