Coolant leak
Hey guys.. I've got radiator coolant leaking but I can't figure out where it's coming from. It's dripping off one of the bolts from the transmission pan. the front corner bolt on the drivers side. It shouldn't be coming out of the radiator pan. And the tranny cooling lines are on the passenger side. Where could it be coming from??

Re: Coolant leak
Get or borrow a pressure tester it will help you find it.It could be a freeze plug or maybe the back of the intake.

Re: Coolant leak
if it is a freeze plug, it'll be a lower one, probably on the backside of the oil filter.
No need to drop the tranny. If this is the case, I highly recomend popping ALL the lower freeze plugs out and flushing all the rust out of it. There will be a lot there if your plug rusted out. Then replace them all with new bras ones. |
