Bedside.
I hope this doesn't seem like a stupid question but here it is.
What is involved with removing and replacing a bedside on a long bed fleetside truck? Does it involve cutting and welding or can it be done by a weekend amature? Thanks, Scott

There is also a small weld you'll have to cut. It is located where the bedside meets the rear bed brace, right by the tailgate hinge. Can easliy be cut with a die grider or angle grinder with a thin cut-off wheel. Also, expect to have some problems removing some of the carriage bolts that hold the sides down. They are most likely rusty and the heads will spin when you attempt to loosen them. Just giving you fair warning..... but you may get lucky. Might soak them good with WD-40 or Liquid Wrench before attempting removing them.

Thanks guys!
Hey Slam, where do you live in Long Beach? I grew up there. I went to Poly high then Millikan. Graduated in '81. I grew up down near Bixby Park near 3rd and Temple. I moved up here to Oregon about 8 years ago and don't make it back often. Scott
