Re: 1970 c10
It's somewhat of an abbreviated version you've got goin on there. Is it on a Blazer frame or what? Tell us about it. And welcome aboard.

Re: 1970 c10
You willing to post the first 1/2 of the VIN off that thing?
I'm wondering what they used for the VIN... frame, cab, or made up.... It has a 76 front end, fenders/hood/grill, then the fenders on the bed at a minimum are 67 also.... I'm wondering if it is a 70 cab, or a 67 cab... or what. |

Re: 1970 c10
its a 1970 c10
exterior: no the frame is not shortend and no its not a blazer frame. it is a 1970 c10 short bed step side. it has been all blacked out. and everything but the door handles have been shaved. the bed has been shortend about 10 inches. suspension: cpp grand slam package 2 1/2 inch drop spindles up front with 1 inch drop spring ( not Pictured). cpp tubular control arms, upper and lower. 4 inch drop springs in rear. all new shocks. disc brake conversion up front. power steering and power brakes also. interior: hurst promatic2 truck shifter. grant steering wheel. 01 tahoe buckets with power. 4 point roll cage. engine: 350. eldelbrock manifold and 700 cfm carb. headers with 3 inch exhuast. i might be missing stuff. but its still a work in progress. |

Re: 1970 c10
Just wondering how you shortened the bed 10 inches w/out shortening the frame?
It's a cool truck man. Looks like you've done a lot of work to it! Got any pics of the interior?

Re: 1970 c10
HEY,WELCOME from MARYLAND!!!
Nice stubby little black truck. You may not "think" the frame is shortened, but it definately is.How else would the tire still be in the wheel well.Think about it... If you see absolutlely no splicing going on at all then it must be a Blazer frame.Length looks about right.Alot can happen to these trucks before we get our hands on them.

Re: 1970 c10
Hi Ray,
Welcome to the board! There is a wealth of knowledge here for the taking! Also, I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, but I agree with the others. If the frame wasn't cut down, it's got to be a blazer frame. If I shortend my step-side bed, I'd have 10 inches of "gap" between the cab and the bed so the fenders would be over the wheels and there isn't any room to move the fenders back either. I guess a fast way to tell is if someone would post the wheel base of a shortbed and a blazer so you can measure. However, great looking truck! There is another "super shorty" that is black on here too, I can't find the link however. I found the link... check it out, your trucks twin! http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=220419

Re: 1970 c10
That would most likely be 2bits truck you are referring to. He has since put it back to stock wheel base.

Re: 1970 c10
Cool truck! What's the verdict on the frame? Shortened or Blazer?
