door and window switches

I've been looking at electric windows and locks. A lot of the kits have the 73+ style of switches that I don't think would look right in our trucks.

Lets see some pictures of your switches and where you mounted them. I'm thinking I may put a row of switches below the A/C controls. I'm thinking I want to find some switches that would look like what GM would have used if our trucks came with power windows/locks.

Check out this window switch from AutoLoc. That's what I plan on using, hopefully no one jumps in and tries to turn it around....

Those GM style, square, chrome window switches have been in use well before 1973. I remember our '68 Electra 225 had 'em and so did my uncles '71 Eldorado. So, I think they'd be period correct for our trucks.

Oh wow, I saw similar switches awhile ago, but they were like $400+

second gen(70-81) camaro chrome switches would look dead on in my opinion...perfect look for a c10 of our genre

I used the "Joker" switches from A-1, thought about autolok but wanted to be able to work passger window from driver side. Work great, look good too! Send me a pm with email addy, I have a hard time posting pics.

I have the post style switches in my truck. I love the way they look as it looks like you have to crank them, but you just ony have to push down or up on the crank to work the power windows. As for being able to roll down the passenger side, they do give you the wiring diagram to be able to add a button switch (not included) that you push and hold while you use the driver side switch, and your passenger side window will go up and down.
