Junkyard Blues
Well I have had bad luck lately at the local junkyard. First I went there and they had a cherry set of 68 doors complete with panels and mirrors and no rust for 100 bucks. Well I go back about 2 weeks later and went back in the yard to get them and to my dismay the loader that had come in that week to clean out a few cars decided to run them both over. THEN while I was out there at that time He had a 72 gmc with a perfect cab and passenger door. So I go back this last Monday and asked if he still had it. Sure do he says 50 bucks.Sweet i think and I go out there to unbolt it and what do I see? Some one had torched out the dash. Either my timing sucks or I just need to buy things then and there. Most of the time I have great luck there found 13 buick finned alum. drums for 100 bucks and on my sad walk from looking at the cab I found a dash and firewall from our year truck complete with air cond.unit on the fire wall and underdash unit. Also had the vents and deluxe pedals with chrome but no a/c controls. OH Well
