Post Frame Differences

I noticed Hooker Super Comp headers come in one size that fits '63-'67 SBCs (2801), and one for '68-'91(2808). I called their tech line to see what the difference was, and he told me there was a frame change in '68, and the 2801s wouldn't fit. Does this sound right? Seems funny to me. I wondered if it could be smog fittings or something, but it seems they should be bent the same. He said the primary size/length and collector size/length is the same on both.
Does anybody have a clue what the difference might be?

Thanks

the only thing i can think of is that the 67's dont have the BB motor mount clearance that the 68-up frames do, they bent up a part of the inner most top side of the frame rail near the engine mount area, dunno if i can find a pic of this or not right now hmm,, 73 had wheel base change, are 4,5" longer wheel base and frame horns are shaped a little different again, thats all i can think of really .

Thanks, Fast. I didn't realize that the '67 frames didn't have the bent up lip. That could be it.
