3.5/6 or 2.5/4 What do ya'll think?
Hello all, was wondering if there was anything else I should consider when I go ahead with my drop on my 72. I have everything here to do either drop amount, but am still undecided. I just don't know.

What are the streets and roads like where you live? I have a 2.5/4 drop on mine and there are some of what I call shallow ditches where streets intersect and the city was too cheap to put in a drainage system. Yeah, they're like dips that will eat the front bumper off of what you drive if you hit it too fast. With a long wheel base, entrances and exits that have sloaping driveways will tend to exaggerate the clearance issues. I prefer the lower profile, but opted to go with what I have because of the streets. I'd still like to go an inch closer to the pavement, though. Makes an argument for bags, don't it?

The roads are in decent shape here but we do have some of the things you are talking about with the gutters. I guess as much as I will drive her would play in my decision also. Do you have photos of your 2.5/4 drop?

Go 3.5/6 and be cautious while driving for a while, it's the price you pay to look cool.

I went with a 3.5/5 on my LWB. My build is not done yet so I'm not sure how its going to handle but I like the stance.

well seeing as how my roads are horrible i went the AIR suspension route.
2.5/4 is a pretty aggressive look 3.5 6 is gonna almost make the truck "Bull dog" a bit. and need a wee bit of notching. Here is a Cartoon Version of lowering options out of LMC.. gives you a rough idea. http://www.lmctruck.com/ICATALOG/CB/full.aspx?Page=93

Powell72, I will need to drive cautiously for a while, I have a 02 wrangler with 6" lift. I am not used to lowered vehicles. But you are right it is a price to pay for looking cool.

2/4 Will give you a nice look and you wont have problems with clearance(speed bumps, vertical driveways, etc).

Mine is 3/6. No notch either & Ive hauled our JD lawn tractor in it with no problems. 3" springs in the front & a flip kit in the rear...

Here is a 4&1/2 front, 6 back drop with c notch. It's a bit low, but rides absolutely great. I'm planning on adding airbags soon just to improve the look and add to the ride. I'm switching to larger wheels as well (18frt, 20 rear).
