Re: NM......I finally feel like a native.......

COOL!!! Is that a swb bed on an 8 lug 3.4 ton frame??? Do you have plans to use the bed on a project? If not. my opinion would be to see about selling the bed and taking the $$$ to build/ buy something a little more practical. How much can you really haul in a 6 ft bed??? I bought a triler like this a while back for the LWB bed for a project, pulled the good bed off, pulled the old beat up rusted out bed off the truck , then put the old beater on the old bed for a trailer.

It's actually a pretty nice bed, a few dents but NO rust. I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do with it.....

I'm struggling with that dilemma with mine. I'm not sure if I want to paint to match my dually or my '69 C-10. I have these visions of one day dragging it to a National board meet and actually camping in my matching truck bed trailer camper!

Hey, that's my trailer, at least you could ask if you're going to borrow it.

The trailer was parked in my front yard (that is a new Mexico joke too)

Yes, I am a true native. Yes, I put green chile on everything including breakfast.

Re: NM......I finally feel like a native.......

I started camping with my parents in NM when I was 11 months old up and we continued yearly until we moved to Alamogordo in 1971. I lived there until 1975 when I graduated HS. Moved to Las Cruces for college and lived there until 1977.

Favorite place in the world is Ruidoso...someday I hope to get back there for a week or so of camping in the Upper Canyon. Some of the absolute finest times in my life were in NM and a part of me will always regret leaving.
