custom interior help

I need some ideas and help of making a custom show worthy interior for my truck, I really don't know what material I should use that will last in the sun, and is easy to use and I would like to cover the intire interior, i'm open to any ideas, and I will be changing every thing dealing with the inside of the truck except the guages and seats since they sit nice except there faded they were dark blue now they look almost white

here is what the interior looks like now

here is the outside for some inspiration

Ultra-Leather is fairly easy to work with.

Re: custom interior help

the one thing i see on your truck which to me glares as un finished is the fact you dont have any lower panels on the doors.. the rest of the truck looks great perfect in fact in the pics but those door bottoms are kinda bare... just my 2 cents

Re: custom interior help

Ummm...

I'd ditch all the diamond plate, fiberglass the dash and paint white, pick up some stock buckets in black vinyl or leather, and put these door panels on

They look like this in the truck

I don't see provisions for power windows. Do you have to modify these if you have power windows and locks?

Man, that is nice! Does it stretch pretty good? What is it actually called? I might like to do that myself. I was planning on just glassing it, but I like that better.

I'm sure you probably do have to drill or cut. These seem to lean more toward the sano approach. With this you could also upgrade to a newer style switch to match the door panels.

Re: custom interior help

Tweed or leather are the toughest materials to use. My tweed interior is 8 years old and it is a lot cheaper than leather. However my nextuck is going to be a leather interior, just to finish the show quality out on it.

Yes you will have to drill or cut for the window crank. It was very easy to work with.

It used to be, I am pretty sure he sold it. It was on Barret Jackson (or another big name auction) at one point in time.
