Question fitment of a 67-68 hood on a 69?

Has anyone tried to put a 67 -68 style hood on a 69 c-10 pickup? If so how did it work out. The only problem I can forsee is the front grille. It looks like some shaving is neccessary but not certain, so has anyone on the board tried this before. My hood is rusting out and I figured I'd try an upgrade when I installed a new one. I like the way the hood slopes farther back and the smoother lines that it adds to the truck. Just curious.

Thanks,

Rusty

nice

That does look really nice, nicer than I'd hoped. Maybe somebody on the board who has done this can offer up some advice. As far as I can tell from the picture everything lines up really nice, but their might have been some body work done, but it doesn't look like it. But then again a nice paint job can hide those types of things. Thanks for the pic!

i could be wrong on this, but I think you could put the 67-68 hood on a 69- 72 chev by changing the latch assy, & trimming the nose to fit behind the grill shell. the suspence is killin me.......somebody tell us for sure, before i get into a big "weldem up" headache!
